Fabio arrived in Lima last March with his wife, Flavia, to participate in an adaptive tennis tournament. They came all the way from Brazil, and even though they only stayed for a week, they left us with a lesson we’ll never forget at Juntos.
Fabio uses a wheelchair to get around — but neither that nor the barriers that the city sometimes imposes were enough to stop him from traveling, exploring, and dreaming.
Together with Flavia — his partner, his teammate, his support — they’ve traveled to different countries, enjoying this chapter of their lives where sports are more than just competition: they are freedom.
Both are dentists by profession, but today they live with intention, no rush, and with the joy of knowing that life doesn’t end when a wheelchair enters the picture. Sometimes, it begins in a different way.
During their visit, they used our accessible transportation service and reminded us that the true journey is the one made with attitude. They don’t stop. Because where many see limits, they see paths. And most importantly, they always travel together.
